发布日期: 26/08/29 11:47:09

As the new semester approached on August 29, Han Fangxi, Founder and President of Qingdao Binhai University, led a team to inspect the Materials Engineering Experimental Teaching Center. He cordially visited and comforted young doctoral teachers sticking to the front lines of scientific research and teaching, and provided on-site guidance on the laboratory operation, scientific research breakthrough advancement and talent development work for the new semester.

During the inspection, Han Fangxi checked the equipment configuration, upgrading and renovation progress, as well as the installation and commissioning of large-scale instruments in key laboratories one by one, and carefully listened to the reports on platform construction and scientific research projects. He emphasized that the laboratory serves as the core base for teaching and scientific research. It is essential to attach equal importance to safety and quality, advance all construction tasks with high standards, and ensure that the laboratory is put into use in a brand-new state for the new semester. Meanwhile, he required relevant departments to further increase investment, strengthen collaborative cooperation, and provide more solid support and guarantee for teachers and students to carry out high-level research.

Recently, the New Materials and Advanced Manufacturing Scientific Research and Innovation Platform built by the university relying on the center has successfully obtained 4 National Natural Science Foundation Youth Projects and a number of provincial and municipal projects, and won scientific and technological awards including the First Prize of Qingdao Natural Science Award. In exchanges with young doctoral teachers, Han Fangxi learned in detail about their practical needs in breaking through scientific research bottlenecks, advancing project applications and living security. He encouraged them to take root in front-line work, dare to innovate, and actively integrate the latest scientific research achievements into classroom teaching. He stated that the university will continuously optimize the talent policy system, improve working conditions, and build a broader development platform for young teachers.

In fact, the New Materials and Advanced Manufacturing Scientific Research and Innovation Platform based on the center has gathered 7 provincial-level talent teams, conducting full-chain research in the fields of advanced functional materials, new energy, additive manufacturing and other directions. In 2026, the platform has newly undertaken 3 national projects, 7 provincial projects and 1 municipal project, and received many scientific and technological honors such as the First Prize of Qingdao Natural Science Award. In recent years, the university has continuously increased investment in laboratories, achieving a remarkable improvement in software and hardware levels, which provides a solid foundation for the platform to yield a series of fruitful achievements.

Zhai Mingge, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, and Li Zhenjiang, Vice President, accompanied the inspection. Persons in charge of the Academic Affairs Office and the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Materials participated in the whole process.
