The Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) is an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency. It focuses on assessing non-native Chinese speakers' ability to use Chinese for communication in daily life, study, and work. The test consists of six levels (HSK Level 1 to Level 6). The HSK is held regularly both within China and overseas each year. Candidates who achieve the required scores can obtain the corresponding level of the Chinese Proficiency Certificate.

Since 2007, Qingdao Binhai University has established an HSK test center, becoming the fourth state-approved HSK test center in Shandong Province. Currently, the Qingdao Binhai University test center only supports Internet-based testing.

• Internet-based testing is conducted via the internet and computers. It assesses candidates' ability to use Chinese for communication. The test content, standards, and validity are the same as the paper-based test. Chinese Internet-based testing is convenient, flexible, cost-effective, efficient, secure, and stable, and it supports online test administration, online payment, and online practice tests.

 Registration Process

1. Log in to the Chinese Test Service Website: Visit www.chinesetest.cn.

2. Register as a User: Register to become a user of the Chinese Test Service Website. Remember your username (email address) and password. Registration requires filling in information such as your E-mail address, nationality, native language, and date of birth.

3. Register for the Exam: Select the test level, test format (Paper-based or Computer-based), test center, and test date. Before registering, understand the available test formats at your chosen test center.

4. Fill in Personal Information: Enter the candidate's name (must match identification documents), gender, date of birth, nationality, ID information, etc. Ensure the information is accurate and complete.

5. Upload Photo: Upload a standard passport-style photo (2 inches) in JPG format, under 100KB. Candidates registering at test centers within mainland China must submit an electronic photo. Failure to upload a photo or uploading a non-compliant photo will result in the candidate being denied entry to the test room.

6. Confirm Registration Information: Verify that all information is correct, then select "Confirm and Submit".

7. Pay the Test Fee: Complete payment before the registration deadline; otherwise, the registration will be invalid. Once payment is successfully processed, the test registration cannot be canceled. At test centers where online payment is available, candidates can pay directly online.

8. Receive Registration Confirmation: Candidates who complete registration payment and provide a valid Email address will receive a registration confirmation approximately 10 days before the test date. Contact your test center if you do not receive it.

9. Collect/Print Admission Ticket: Log in to the Chinese Test Service Website to print your Admission Ticket yourself, or collect it from the test center where you registered. On the test day, you must bring your Admission Ticket and the original valid ID document used during registration.
