The Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao Binhai University is a large, non-profit, mixed-ownership comprehensive hospital jointly built with the local government according to the standards of a Class III Grade A hospital. It integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, healthcare, and rehabilitation.
Located in the core area of Guzhenkou, Qingdao West Coast New Area (a national-level new district), the hospital covers an area of 226 acres, with a total construction area of 370,000 square meters. The total investment of the hospital is 3 billion RMB, with a planned capacity of 2,400 inpatient beds, of which 1,800 have already been built in the first phase.
The hospital has a complete range of departments, with 31 clinical departments, 10 medical technology and auxiliary departments, and 41 operating rooms, including 31 centralized operating rooms. Among them are seven Class 100 (highest cleanliness level) operating rooms capable of supporting various complex surgeries.
The hospital has a well-structured, highly skilled team of medical professionals. Currently, it employs 673 medical staff members, including:
142 senior professionals,

Upholding the strategy of "Strengthening the Hospital through Science, Education, and Talent," the hospital emphasizes talent training and team building, balancing talent introduction and development. To date, it has introduced over a dozen full-time nationally renowned experts and more than 20 leaders or deputy leaders of various municipal and higher-level academic societies.
The hospital has demonstrated exceptional strengths in the prevention and treatment of cancer, management of complex urological diseases, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, neurological conditions, gynecological diseases, and orthopedic conditions. Notably, its minimally invasive urology technology is among the top in the nation.
In 2024, the hospital launched 68 new medical projects, achieving multiple milestones, including successful complex cardiac surgeries, interventional procedures, neurosurgical operations, and complex gastrointestinal tumor surgeries. A notable achievement was the successful treatment of a 3-year-old child with a congenital patent ductus arteriosus, marking another leap in the hospital's diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
The hospital has also optimized and established specialized centers for oncology, ophthalmology, and other fields, pooling resources to expand the range of diseases treated while improving diagnostic efficiency. Its trauma and stroke centers have passed municipal evaluations, with the door-to-needle time (DNT) for intravenous thrombolysis in stroke patients reaching just 17 minutes—far exceeding the international standard of 60 minutes. The hospital has also become proficient in various high-risk, complex neurointerventional procedures, including:
Percutaneous middle cerebral artery stenting,
Percutaneous basilar artery balloon angioplasty,
Intracranial artery thrombectomy,
Intracranial aneurysm embolization.
The hospital is the main construction unit of the Qingdao Military-Civilian Integrated Emergency Center, developed in collaboration with Qingdao City, West Coast New Area Emergency Center, and local military medical institutions.
