Hosted jointly by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and Jinan Municipal People’s Government, the 2026 Shandong Education Expo was held at the Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center from August 21 to 23. Drawing on its 34 years of educational experience, Qingdao Binhai University participated in the exhibition with four thematic sections:Reform-Driven Development for Emerging Needs, Party Building Leadership with Holistic Education and Comprehensive Cultivation, Integrated School-Enterprise Operation and Industry-Education Integration, and Smart Research Empowerment for Pragmatic Public Welfare. Wang Hao and Wang Zhigang, both Members of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Directors of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and Members of the Education Work Committee of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, visited the university’s exhibition booth. Che Bin, Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the expo, while university leaders including Zhai Mingge and Feng Zhijie led the university’s exhibition team.

Centered on the four thematic sections, the university’s exhibition booth features a minimalist, elegant and well-structured design, fully presenting the university’s development journey from its original educational mission to proactive social service. The section Reform-Driven Development for Emerging Needs reviews the university’s founding background in response to regional industrial development demands and showcases its achievements in discipline and major construction. The section Party Building Leadership with Holistic Education and Comprehensive Cultivation demonstrates the university’s pioneering exploration, practical experience and distinctive talent cultivation model in Party building among private universities nationwide. The section Integrated School-Enterprise Operation and Industry-Education Integration highlights the fruitful outcomes of integrated talent cultivation combining education, industry and research through the layout of industrial colleges and diverse school-enterprise cooperation cases. The section Smart Research Empowerment for Pragmatic Public Welfare fully presents the university’s sense of responsibility in serving national strategies and social livelihoods through scientific research breakthroughs, military-civilian integration, cultural export, public welfare for the disabled and popular science education.

With well-organized displays featuring abundant data, typical cases, graphic boards and physical models, the four sections systematically exhibit the university’s landmark achievements in applied talent cultivation, industry-education integration innovation and social services. They vividly illustrate the university’s exploration and practice over 34 years of schooling, attracting numerous conference guests, education peers and citizens to stop for visits. The exhibition has won wide recognition and attention from the expo organizing committee, education authorities and all sectors of society.

As the first full-time private university in Shandong Province founded amid China’s reform and opening-up drive, Qingdao Binhai University was established in 1992 to meet the talent demands of the times and local enterprises.
