On December 30, the Academic Conference on Advanced Oral Clinical Technologies and Overseas Study Programs was successfully held at the International Exchange Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao Binhai University. The conference was co-hosted by Qingdao Binhai University and its Affiliated Hospital, co-organized by the Committee of Pediatric Dentofacial Orthopedics, Shandong Private Dental Association, and supported by Qingdao International CulturalExchange Centre for Dentists.

Centering on two core themes—Advanced Technology Intensive Lectures and Overseas Study Programs, the conference covered cutting-edge fields including dentofacial developmental biology, clinical orthodontic techniques, and the integration of stomatology with multiple disciplines. It focused not only on oral health among children and adolescents but also on the diagnosis and treatment advances for all age groups and the expansion of international perspectives.

Du Peige, Vice President of Qingdao Binhai University; Guo Changzhan, Director of the Health Service Development Center of West Coast New Area; and Liu Dongxu, Director of the Orthodontic Research Institute, School of Stomatology, Shandong University, delivered speeches. They expressed the hope that the conference would serve as a link to promote university-hospital collaboration and industry linkage, facilitate the exchange of clinical technologies, and boost the high-quality development of stomatological healthcare. The opening ceremony was presided over by Li Zhenjiang, Vice President of Qingdao Binhai University.

The academic presentation session featured rich content with insightful shares from many experts and scholars. Meng Yong, Vice Member of the Committee of Pediatric Dentofacial Orthopedics, Shandong Private Dental Association, delivered a report titled Occlusal Guidance, Facial Management and Myofunctional Orthodontic Strategies for Children in Mixed Dentition Period. Zhang Zebing, Director of the Department of Stomatology, School of Medicine, Qingdao Binhai University, gave a presentation on Biological Basis of Tooth Development. Liu Xin, Director of the Department of Orthodontics, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University, shared Common Implant Sites of Orthodontic Anchorage Screws and Clinical Application Methods. Frontline practitioners Zhang Yawen and Zhang Lei delivered a joint speech themed Aesthetic Medicine Practice for Dentists and Visual Meridian Conditioning for Children and Adolescents.

An information session on master’s program enrollment in Prosthodontics in Spain was also held at the conference, building an international bridge for further education of professionals in the field.

This conference pooled the efforts of universities, hospitals and the industry, promoted academic exchanges and technology sharing in advanced oral clinical technologies, and provided solid support for the disciplinary development of oral clinical technologies and the standardization of clinical diagnosis and treatment practices.
