Recently, the National Finals of the 3rd Oriental Creative Star Teaching Innovation Award concluded successfully. A team of teachers from the College of Art and Media at our university stood out among numerous participating institutions nationwide, winning two National Gold Prizes, eight Silver Prizes, and four Bronze Prizes.
The Oriental Creative Star Award, approved and organized by the International Economic and Technical Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is a prestigious event in the field of industrial design. The teacher division of the competition is widely recognized by higher education institutions across the country and has been consistently included in the "University Teacher Teaching Development Index" as part of the authoritative directory of teaching competitions for university faculty. It serves as a key platform for evaluating the teaching innovation capabilities and research proficiency of university educators.

During the final defense session, teachers Zhao Jian (representing Fan Xuefeng’s team) and Liu Guowei (representing Liu Guowei’s team) remained composed and confident while facing evaluations from a panel of industry experts and education scholars, as well as the close attention of their peers. They systematically outlined their project ideas with clear logical frameworks, showcased innovative outcomes through dynamic presentations, and responded to judges’ questions with profound insights into teaching innovation. Their performance not only demonstrated the professional competence and comprehensive abilities of our university’s faculty but also highlighted the tangible results of the university’s long-standing commitment to "promoting teaching through competition, advancing research through competition, and fostering innovation through competition."
It is worth noting that this year’s Oriental Creative Star Teaching Innovation Award, themed "Enhancing Teaching and Research Capabilities, Promoting Innovation in Competition and Teaching Outcomes," was large in scale and highly competitive. The event was organized across 30 provincial-level competition zones, following a three-tier structure of "university-level, provincial-level, and national-level" contests. Notably, during the provincial-level competitions, our university’s teaching team also delivered an outstanding performance, securing eight Special Gold Prizes, six Gold Prizes, four Silver Prizes, and three Bronze Prizes.
