Septermber 6 — Qingdao Binhai University convened its faculty meeting to open the first semester of the 202-2026 academic year. University founder and President Han Fangxi addressed the assembly; Vice-President Zhai Mingge presided.

During the meeting, Executive Vice President Han Xiaomeng announced the Notice on Organizational Adjustments, Division of Responsibilities Among University Leaders, and Appointments of Cadres at Qingdao Binhai University.

President Han Fangxi provided a comprehensive review of the university’s achievements, fully acknowledging the progress made in various undertakings. Against the backdrop of current trends in higher education and domestic and international developments, he offered an in-depth analysis of the opportunities and challenges facing the university.

He emphasized that the main theme of high-quality development shall be adhered to in the new academic, promoting the deep integration and synergistic advancement of Party building and operational work. Key tasks include continuously strengthening the construction of a service system to support student employment and entrepreneurship, enhancing the recruitment and cultivation of high-level talent, boosting scientific research innovation and social service capabilities, and deepening teaching reforms and disciplinary development. By comprehensively improving the quality of education, talent, and technology, the university will steadily advance its goal of becoming a high-level application-oriented university.
